As we often do, we visited a zoo today! The Kolner (Cologne) zoo is approx. 25 minutes from our house! Although the weather was a bit chilly, there was no rain. Julia and Ellie really enjoy the zoo and we enjoy watching their faces light up when they see the animals. The zoo was even decorated a bit with ghosts in the trees for Halloween. The girls enjoyed some time in one of the two playgrounds and Ellie thoroughly enjoyed her Bratwurst for lunch. In fact, she ate so much at lunch that she apparently had no room left for dinner during our "Mexican dinner" out. Check the Cologne Zoo link to the right for pictures from our outing.
