We were going about our business this morning at home when the doorbell rang,. Expecting a late Christmas package, it was three children dressed up. They sang us a German song and then obviously wanted something when it was over. My first thought was to give them candy (seemed like trick or treating to me), but they wanted money! I donated a few euros for their effort and they left a "blessing" behind on our door (20 c+M+B 06). I now know this was to celebrate Epiphany, a holiday that recalls the journey of the three wise men. The three children were dressed up as the three kings. Something new for us!
