Tonight we celebrated St. Martin's Day. Each town/village has their own parade during this week each year to celebrate the kindness of some roman soldier named Martin. Children make lanterns ahead of time and carry them during the parade. Songs are sung while following "St. Martin" who leads the parade on horseback. In the end awaits a huge bonfire where warm drinks and bread men are served.
